Tikal Community

Dear Members and friends,

The 2nd Tikal Community event on 27.1.10, will be presenting "Django"

Django is the hottest word in web development today, across the globe. It's a revolutionary web framework that changes the rules of the game in software development: whatever used to take months or more to develop, takes with Django weeks or less. Unlike other modern RAD frameworks, such as Rails, it scales really well & the resulting code-base is very easy to extend & maintain. Come to hear & see for yourself the compelling message of Django.
Please note that starting from this event, all TCE events will take place at the "Krypton" (www.krypton.co.il)

Remember, if you work with WEB/EJB container's objects, never make assumptions.

This stuff always tends to behave against your common sense.

Hi All,

Well there is not much to say on tikalk.com's downtime except we have encountered another configuration issue which has been forced upon us by our hosting provider.

After talking to them twice 30 minuets each call, and making sure no configuration changes were made by bluehost which might influence our site's uptime I have encountered a configuration issue which truly should not have an impact.

Druapl's settings.php file located under sites/default directory includes the database URL and credentails.

For some reason until the 26th of April it was working with:

$db_url = 'mysql://username:password@localhost/databasename';

Whilst as of today (this morning to be accurate) it expects:
