What is Spring Actionscript?

Spring ActionScript is an offshoot of the Java-based Spring Framework written in ActionScript 3. It is targeted for the Flash, Flex and AIR platforms. The framework contains an Inversion of Control Container(DI), an Operation and Task API, an EventBus, a metadata handling system, extensions for the Cairngorm and PureMVC frameworks and several other utilities.

 

Session Agenda

In this session we will take an already working Cairngorm Flex application and rewrite by the Spring Actionscript framework.

 

Key Challenges and Objectives

  1. Learn the Spring AS framework concepts.
  2. create Spring AS based application from existing flex-cairngorm application.

 

===> In the end of the day we will have a working Flex-Spring AS- Cairngorm application.

Required software

You are required to have the following software in order participate in the session:

  1. The Flex-Cairngorm application to rewrite : cairngorm store application (after downloading it change the doc ext. to zip).
  2. spring as 1.1
  3. cairngorm 2
  4. flex sdk 3.5
  5. flash/flex builder IDE
