jBPM - install 3.2.7 on tomcat 6

 Hi!

I looked all around but couldn't find how to run jbpm3.2.7 on tomcat!

I found this article:  - http://community.jboss.org/wiki/JbpmOnTomcat - for jbpm 3.2.2

and this article: http://community.jboss.org/wiki/JbpmOnTomcatOracle - for jbpm 3.2

But didn't find instructions for 3.2.7! there is no deploy folder there or the defined war.

only under jboss/server there is jsf-console.war but inside there is no hibernate config file!

would you recommend me to work with 3.2 or 3.2.2?

Comments

Riki, any reason you go with version 3.x of jbpm?  why not the latest version 4.4 ?

you can also consider jbossweb instead of tomcat, it may have better integration with other jboss tools. jbossweb is atually a fork of tomcat.

or maybe even better, use a slim jboss 5.

the latest jbpm documentation have an installation section for various app servers, its not so impressive but can help with getting strated.

can you also give more details about your environment, database, OS etc. ?

 Hi!

1. Regarding 3.X and not 4.4:

I read this post here:

http://community.jboss.org/thread/158359?tstart=0 (Odelya asked it)

Do you have any comments about it?

2.  I tried to download in the beginning version 3.2.7 but did not find their jsf-console war so we went back to 3.2. About the WAR: is it a must to run it?

3. we write in JSF, Hibernate, Oracle 11g r2 Windows using Eclipse.

What I understand is that JBPM 4 is abandond, I would also check drools flow but its future is unclear also.

if you want to be on the safe side then go with jbpm 3 as you already decided.

There are some articles for jbpm on tomcat and 3.2.7 is only bug fixes comparing to 3.2GA so the instructions should be good for 3.2.7.
